This is another diary entry.

Not the curated kind. Not the kind written from the finish line. This is the kind you write after you realize something about yourself that you cannot unknow, and you finally feel steady enough to tell the truth.

I’ve written about healing before. This is the part I couldn’t write until I was on the other side of it.

Here it is.

I am not addicted to productivity.
I am not addicted to achievement.
I am not addicted to chaos.

I am addicted to my body’s own stress response.

And realizing that changed everything.

Learning how to live without constant activation

This is something I could not have written even a year ago.

Not because I didn’t know it intellectually.
Because my body didn’t believe it yet.

I used to think I was just “high capacity.”
Resilient. Adaptable. Good under pressure.

What I didn’t realize was that my nervous system had quietly decided that stress was home.

Not exciting stress. Not crisis stress.
Just a constant low hum of activation.

Urgency. Anticipation. Tension.
Always slightly braced for what was next.

And calm?

Calm felt unfamiliar.
Calm felt suspicious.
Calm felt like something bad was about to happen.
