I Thought I Needed More Awareness. I Didn’t.
And no, I don’t say that lightly
I’ve done therapy.
Good therapy.
Talk therapy.
The kind where you sit there, connect the dots, understand your patterns, and walk away thinking, wow, that makes so much sense.
And it did.
It helped me understand myself.
But here’s the part no one really says out loud:
Understanding yourself doesn’t mean you’ve changed.
I could explain my patterns.
I could trace them back.
I could narrate what was happening in real time.
…and I was still in it.
Still reacting.
Still looping.
Still feeling it in my body like it was happening for the first time.
I Didn’t Need Another Insight
I needed something that actually moved it.
Because at some point, awareness becomes a very intelligent hamster wheel.
You know your triggers.
You know your story.
You know where it came from.
And your nervous system is like,
“Cool. We’re still doing this.”
This Isn’t New For Me
I’ve been working with Robyn since 2023.
She supported me through a really hard season back then. The kind of season where you’re holding a lot, pushing through, doing what needs to be done…but underneath it, something isn’t sitting right.
Even then, the work we did together was different.
Faster.
Deeper.
More real.
Things actually shifted.
Not just in how I thought, but in how I responded.
And that stuck with me.
Then Life Hit Me Again
Recently, something happened that shook me.
And what caught me off guard wasn’t just the moment itself.
It was how quickly my body went somewhere else.
Old fear.
Old responsibility.
That immediate drop into “I need to hold this together.”
It wasn’t just about what was happening.
It was everything underneath it that hadn’t fully cleared yet.
And I knew instantly:
This isn’t something I can think my way out of.
Enter Hypnotherapy (Again)
I went back to Robyn.
And I’m going to say this as clearly as I can:
This is a completely different level of work.
You’re not sitting there explaining yourself.
You’re not performing awareness.
You’re not trying to get it “right.”
You’re guided into a state where your subconscious can finally speak without your brain interrupting every five seconds, trying to stay in control.
And what comes up? It isn’t random. It’s exact.
The Moment It Clicked
What hit me in that session wasn’t new information.
It was recognition.
Oh.
This isn’t about what just happened.
This is a pattern.
A deeply wired, body-level pattern of:
taking responsibility for things that aren’t mine
anticipating and bracing
carrying emotional weight that doesn’t belong to me
And for the first time…
I wasn’t just talking about it.
I was in it.
And then…I wasn’t.
This Is the Difference
We didn’t sit there analyzing the story.
We went to where it started.
We changed how it was held.
We released what didn’t belong.
Not conceptually.
Actually.
There was a moment where something I had been carrying for years just…wasn’t there anymore.
No drama.
No forcing.
Just a very clear internal shift of:
“Oh. I don’t have to hold this anymore.”
Where This Intersects With My Work
This is the part that really matters to me.
Because this is exactly what I teach… just from a different angle.
In epigenetics, we talk about how your environment, your stress, and your lived experiences shape how your genes express.
But what we don’t talk about enough is this:
Your subconscious patterns are part of that environment.
If your body is constantly bracing…
If your nervous system is stuck in protection…
If you’re carrying emotional patterns that aren’t even yours…
That becomes your baseline.
That becomes your internal environment.
And your body responds accordingly.
You can have the perfect diet.
The perfect supplements.
The perfect protocol.
But if your system still thinks you’re unsafe?
It will keep expressing that.
That’s why this work matters.
This is the layer underneath the lifestyle.
The Cord Cutting
We did work around releasing attachments and patterns that were never mine to carry in the first place.
Not in a etherial way.
In a grounded,
“I’m done with this” way.
And I chose something else.
Not control.
Not management.
Space.
Peace.
Myself.
The Aftermath
This is where I was honestly a little skeptical.
Because I’ve felt “good” after things before.
This wasn’t that.
This was quieter.
More stable.
More clear.
Less reactive.
And then life tested it.
And I didn’t go back to the same place.
That’s when I knew.
This wasn’t temporary.
This was rewiring.
Why This Worked (For Me)
I didn’t need more awareness.
I needed my body to get the memo.
Hypnotherapy works at the level where patterns actually live.
Not just the story.
The wiring.
The response.
The part of you that doesn’t care how self-aware you are if it still thinks you’re in danger.
About Her Work
Robyn is incredibly intuitive, grounded, and precise.
There’s no fluff.
No performance.
No trying to impress you.
She listens, she guides, and she lets your own system do what it’s actually designed to do when it finally feels safe.
That combination?
Super rare.
Yes, I Pay for This
This isn’t sponsored.
This isn’t a collab.
I pay for this work.
And I would again without hesitation.
Because this isn’t about feeling better for a few days.
This is about changing how you experience your life.
If You’re Stuck…
If you’re in that place where:
“I know exactly why I do this…and I’m still doing it.”
You’re not broken.
You’re just working at the level of awareness.
And some things don’t shift there.
Final Thought
I don’t say “this changed my life” lightly.
I say it when something actually moves.
And this did.
